Although the last Hummer rolled off the line in 2010, Central Avenue Automotive still offers Hummer repair from our Kent facility. Humvees (High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicles) were built for the United States Armed Forces by AM General Corporation. Arnold Schwarzenegger saw an Army convoy and advocated for a civilian model, which helped spur the eventual release the Hummer. AM General used the same mechanical components and vehicle structure to make a civilian version, released to the world in 1992. While it looked like the Army version, the new Hummers had all the bells and whistles that you can expect from a modern vehicle: sound insulation, air conditioning, fancy stereo systems, wood and leather trimming, upgraded upholstery, and more.
Uninterrupted Hummer Service
The brand was wildly popular in the early 2000s in the United States and around the world. At that point it seemed the vehicles were everywhere. You could find Hummer repair in Kent and around Washington. Never an unassuming vehicle – Hummer never made small cars – you could easily spot the military-inspired vehicles across the country. The models included H1, H2, and H3 and were beloved for their flashiness, size, and boldness. They’re also fun to drive! Central Avenue Automotive is happy to be your Hummer repair shop. With proper Hummer service and maintenance, we can help keep your vehicle running smoothly for years to come.
Even though production on the cars officially shut down in 2010, Central Avenue Automotive is a Hummer repair shop that can offer professional maintenance and service for your vehicle. Our ASE Certified Technicians are experienced with working with Hummers and are knowledgeable about the common issues your car may face. For example, fuel pump failure is a frequent problem for Hummers that can be easily fixed by our talented crew. Even though the vehicles are discontinued, parts are still readily available.
