What’s Involved in Scheduled Maintenance?

Scheduled maintenance is any maintenance that’s performed at a set interval. Each interval will have specific maintenance items that are recommended by your vehicle’s manufacturer. Scheduled maintenance includes:

30/60/90K Maintenance

These service appointments involve a multi-point inspection of your vehicle and its systems. Depending on your vehicle’s manufacturer’s recommendations, they may also include:

• Replacing the spark plugs
• Oil change
• Tire rotation and pressure check 
• Replacing the filters 
• Brake servicing
• Checking, topping off, or replacing fluids
• Timing belt inspection

Oil Changes

Oil changes are generally done every 5,000 to 7,500 miles, but this can vary depending on your driving habits, the age of your vehicle, driving frequency, and the type of oil your car uses. 

Tune-Ups

These include a variety of maintenance services for when your vehicle doesn’t seem to be running right, or it’s getting lower gas mileage. 

Timing Belt Replacement

Replacing the timing belt at the recommended service schedule is very important; if the belt breaks while your vehicle is running, it can cause expensive engine damage. Many manufacturers recommend changing it at 100,000 miles, but this can vary depending on your vehicle’s make and model. 

Fluid Flushes

Occasionally, you’ll need to flush and replace the power steering fluid, automatic transmission fluid, engine coolant, brake fluid, and differential fluid.
